Strategic Axes

To realize our vision, we focus our efforts on three main axes:

  • Valorization: Blue Women Africa encourages the emancipation of African women in the blue economy sector through its online platform (https://www.bluewomenafrica.com/), dedicated to highlighting, celebrating, supporting, and amplifying the voice of women shaping the blue economy in Africa.
    • Voices of Blue Women Africa: Our flagship section aims to allow women in the sector to transmit a message of motivation or support to their fellow women, especially those who brave numerous challenges in this sector; an inspiring leadership message; or simply to launch a vibrant call to action to encourage them to continue their struggle with determination and resilience.
    • Blue Women Africa Magazine: Planned for its first edition in November 2024, our magazine will be a showcase for women’s associations in the sector, and will highlight the contributions of women in the African blue economy, etc.
  • Mentoring: We believe that mentoring is essential for the personal and professional development of young women in the sector. Blue Women Africa organizes mentoring sessions where women leaders in the sector share their experiences and offer practical advice to young women in the sector, thus helping them navigate their careers with confidence.
  • Training and capacity building: We organize training sessions and strengthen the technical, managerial, entrepreneurial, and personal development skills of women in the blue economy sector in Africa. Blue Women Africa, along with its various partners, plans to offer training programs tailored to the specific needs of women in the blue economy sector. These trainings aim to enhance their skills, improve their employability, and encourage entrepreneurship.
