Webinar : How to improve the quota of African women in the sustainable blue economy?

International Women’s Rights Day is a major opportunity to highlight progress and challenges related to gender equality in various sectors. The blue economy, which encompasses economic activities related to oceans, seas, lakes, etc., represents a field of opportunities for Africa’s sustainable development. However, the participation of African women in this sector remains insufficient due to multiple structural and cultural barriers.

It is in this context that Blue Women Africa is organizing, on the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, a webinar on Thursday, March 20, 2025, starting at 4:30 PM GMT under the theme: “How to improve the quota of African women in the sustainable blue economy?

This event aims to promote in-depth reflection on the levers for: strengthening the presence of African women in the field of the blue economy, both in terms of employment and entrepreneurship. It also aims to better equip them to improve their representation in decision-making positions in this sector.
